18 Feb Avatar

Well well... It's been a long time again, sometimes I wasn't getting a topic sometimes I was getting the time - been a little busy for nothing last few days. One thing which comes to my mind about recent days- two night-outs ( which I haven't been able to do for a long , really long, time ). The first one went well, and the second one..... I ended up bunking almost all classes (attended one out of I think 5)  the next day. Anyways, I thought since it is a Friday night I can take out sometime to write my blog and here I am. I can talk about how I could have done lot better in GATE 2011 ( My bad, I didn't prepare for it. Plans were made, they just never got implemented. I had to take care of other things too, but I just can't blame it on anything,so My Bad), or may be I can talk about how routine my Valentine's Day was (frankly I didn't expect it to be non-routine anyway), or may be I can even talk about how one or the other girl seems good looking to me nowadays, or may be how I went to the movie Dabangg which was played in our open air theater (we call it SAC-student activity center). I was just reminded by reading one of my friends' blog that I also, just like him, had started a blog to write anything and everything that came to my mind, but somehow I never put up any philosophy related things or any random short stories that keep coming to my mind (trust me they are all crazy). Keep all these things for another day, today I am writing about Avatar ( not that movie with that blue guy and that planet pandora, I am not a good critic for that movie).
Avatar : The Last Airbender is the anime / cartoon series which is soon going to join my "I'v watched it" list. It has three seasons (named as Book 1,2 and 3; water, earth and fire respectively). It is the story of a young boy named Aang. He is the reincarnation of Avatar who keeps balance in the world consisting of  fire, earth, water and air nations. He takes birth in one nation after another and the cycle continues. The previous Avatar, Avatar Roku is from fire nation. The fire lord puts up war with other nations and tries to conquer the world. With the knowledge that the next Avatar (After Roku) will be born in the Air Nation. He kills all the airbenders. However Aang had already left his home by then ( he actually flees away because of other reasons). The world is in danger and needs the Avatar but he is not seen anywhere. Nearly 100 years later Aang is found by Katara and Saka (her brother) who are from the Water Nation. Each of these nations have ability to bend the element they are named after. Aang is very good at air bending. However the Avatar needs to master all the four and defeat the fire lord. The story starts with this backdrop and is about how Aang trains to learn bending of remaining elements. Aang and Alba ( his flying Bison) along with Katara and Saka have a long journey to do. Everything has been put up in a very nice way (especially one which a small child will like). Worth watching; if you think you are old then show it to your kids :). I am done with Book 1: Water (20 episodes) and I liked it. So................ that's it for now, I am off to start Book 2 : Earth.
'See ya later guys'.. wish you all a happy and fun-filled weekend.
Cheers

2 Feb To a Competitor and Friend

Your ways are different from mine.
Your goals are different from mine. Your ambitions are high. You want to reach your targets. I appreciate it a lot. Even I am like that. But it is about the ways which you follow. I somehow can't digest them. Somehow I don't find them correct. Everyone has his own perspective. I have my own. May be you may not like my approach towards different things. May be I am wrong about you. But I can only analyse on what I see and hear, I don't have a third eye which will tell me all that is true.
I have no grudge against you. I consider you also like a friend just like any of the others around us. Don't take it personally if I am not on your side. I consider it this way ... it is just a game and it so happened by luck (good or bad) that we are on the opposite sides. I wouldn't regret if I lose. I have lost many times. It just adds on to my experience with people, their ways, their characters, their morale.
I appreciate your determination. In a way we both are similar. It is our line of good and bad, right and wrong, that differentiates us. I might not have understood you properly. I never had been good at understanding people by seeing their daily routine. I am fine with it even if it is this way. I still count you as a pal. I hope you too are equally spirited. I just play for the fun of it. Even though I lost in the game I always learnt something either from you or from others or from my own experience. It has been a great time. Great thanks for all the things which knowingly or unknowingly, directly or indirectly, you have taught me.
In a way the whole world is like you. Sometimes it is unethical but certain things it can't avoid so it just does it. If I see from a different point of view I can't call you wrong at all. You just practice the same ways which are seen everywhere in the world. That is why I said I have no hard feelings. You just showed me how the outside world is. In a way you helped me along with many other people incidents things and thoughts to understand myself, my way. Thanks again. You follow world, I will follow my way. If it clashes, competes, fights, the worthy shall win.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
People started wondering who is the other person whom I am referring to hence I had to have this modification. I feel that the competition in the world changes the whole ideology of man. As long as it is healthy and causes development beneficial for the mankind, it is all fine. But there are situations where a person X for his benefits ( or may be the benefit of his people) stops thinking about his surroundings, people, nature. It is that X to whom I am referring. I am sure I will face such people as I grow up and somehow (intuitively) I feel I will end up competing with them. So when such a time comes the other person might be following wrong methods (from my perspective) but still I don't want to change myself and my ways to win against him. The above post just hints about what my feelings would be (should be) when I face such a situation.
For the clarification of readers : This post wasn't about any single person. My apologies if anyone felt offended.
Regards
Aditya
