I was on this main road of Surathkal, right before Sadanand Super Market. I had to cross the road and reach the bus stop. I was completely lost in thought. You see, like in the movies, not being able to listen to the loud horns of heavy vehicles.
"The last thing I remembered before everything went blank was the driver of the vehicle which went right behind me yelling something in kannada or may be tulu, I can't even recognise which is which. I was totally out. No clue of what is happening. I felt someone lifted me and then again put me down. No sense of vision or sound. I was feeling as light as a feather but then I realised that there was no part of my body which was responding to my brain. I only knew my heart is still beating because I know I was thinking which means my brain was still getting blood. Did I get hit? Was it a fatal blow? Will I not survive? Is this "The End"? I was almost sure that it was all over? I started thinking about what was going to happen after me? The faint light in my thought was getting fainter. I wanted someone to inform my parents. I thought of my belongings back at the hostel, I wanted some one to send them back to my parents. Then I thought of my friends. They wouldn't have to hear any more lame jokes from me. The only remaining Orangutan (as what Vishwas calls me) would be dead and there species would be extinct. People won't be bugged with all kinds of "weird-for-them-yet-interesting-for-me" ideas which I had. NITK will be little peaceful, at least the Grey Block B Wing, with one loud fellow gone.
It was almost over. Even the last bit of light had gone and it was then that I heard something from my heart. 'Oy ... I am still beating .... I will stop only when you give up because then there will be no one who would need me. If you don't respond then I will understand that you have already given up and I would stop beating this bloody blood, half of which is going out anyway'. I started thinking again. There was a light again. This time brighter than the previous one though. I told myself, come one man what life have I lived, never achieved anything, never took up any great task and finished successfully, never gave back anything to my parents, what about the things I have always wanted to do, what about the great time I have always wanted to spend with friends, what about the "be a royal mech" feeling of mine, who the hell will give me my B Tech for my five and half semesters study that too when I am dead, shit !! I just realised, I haven't even had a candle light dinner under starry sky on full moon night near the beach with my girl friend (for which I have to find a girl first which itself would take few more years). What!!!!! I just have to go back, I just haven't lived any life man and the light got brighter and things seemed to be getting back to normal I could hear voices and was getting back vision too. . . . . . . . ."
Man those thoughts were weird :P . They kept driving me to think even more about how to come back to life when at the verge of death. I finally realised that my bus had come and I was getting late, I had to go back to mess for dinner. I wonder if one can really avoid death just by the will to live. May be I am just thinking too much. I should put a stop here. Until Next Time.. have fun, take care.
Cheers

P.S. I may not have put this one so well but just for clarification ... all that is in double quotes is what I was thinking when I was walking the other day on the main road of surathkal. I had crossed the road when a vehicle was coming and as soon as I crossed the thought came to my mind "what if I had stopped mid way" and there it all started. Thoughts in the quotes are true, just that there was no accident. :) Please give your review to haithisisaditya@gmail.com
