7 April The Accident

I was on this main road of Surathkal, right before Sadanand Super Market. I had to cross the road and reach the bus stop. I was completely lost in thought. You see, like in the movies, not being able to listen to the loud horns of heavy vehicles.
"The last thing I remembered before everything went blank was the driver of the vehicle which went right behind me yelling something in kannada or may be tulu, I can't even recognise which is which. I was totally out. No clue of what is happening. I felt someone lifted me and then again put me down. No sense of vision or sound. I was feeling as light as a feather but then I realised that there was no part of my body which was responding to my brain. I only knew my heart is still beating because I know I was thinking which means my brain was still getting blood. Did I get hit? Was it a fatal blow? Will I not survive? Is this "The End"? I was almost sure that it was all over? I started thinking about what was going to happen after me?  The faint light in my thought was getting fainter. I wanted someone to inform my parents. I thought of my belongings back at the hostel, I wanted some one to send them back to my parents. Then I thought of my friends. They wouldn't have to hear any more lame jokes from me. The only remaining Orangutan (as what Vishwas calls me) would be dead and there species would be extinct. People won't be bugged with all kinds of "weird-for-them-yet-interesting-for-me" ideas which I had. NITK will be little peaceful, at least the Grey Block B Wing, with one loud fellow gone.
It was almost over. Even the last bit of light had gone and it was then that I heard something from my heart.  'Oy ... I am still beating .... I will stop only when you give up because then there will be no one who would need me. If you don't respond then I will understand that you have already given up and I would stop beating this bloody blood, half of which is going out anyway'. I started thinking again. There was a light again. This time brighter than the previous one though. I told myself, come one man what life have I lived, never achieved anything, never took up any great task and finished successfully, never gave back anything to my parents, what about the things I have always wanted to do, what about the great time I have always wanted to spend with friends, what about the "be a royal mech" feeling of mine, who the hell will give me my B Tech for my five and half semesters study that too when I am dead, shit !! I just realised, I haven't even had a candle light dinner under starry sky on full moon night near the beach with my girl friend (for which I have to find a girl first which itself would take few more years). What!!!!! I just have to go back, I just haven't lived any life man and the light got brighter and things seemed to be getting back to normal I could hear voices and was getting back vision too. . . . . . . . ."
Man those thoughts were weird :P . They kept driving me to think even more about how to come back to life when at the verge of death. I finally realised that my bus had come and I was getting late, I had to go back to mess for dinner. I wonder if one can really avoid death just by the will to live. May be I am just thinking too much. I should put a stop here. Until Next Time.. have fun, take care.

Cheers
Aditya

P.S. I may not have put this one so well but just for clarification ... all that is in double quotes is what I was thinking when I was walking the other day on the main road of surathkal. I had crossed the road when a vehicle was coming and as soon as I crossed the thought came to my mind "what if I had stopped mid way" and there it all started. Thoughts in the quotes are true, just that there was no accident. :) Please give your review to haithisisaditya@gmail.com

6 April New Year Wishes

It always happens with me. I keep getting thoughts and I think I will put them in my blog however by the time I come and sit in front of my computer I lose the feel of the topic and I put it away for another day. Same happened even now. I had read a blog of a friend of mine who had written his true story and it was superb. There was a lot of gravity in it, kept pulling me into itself, making me want to read more and more. There is an intermission write now while he is preparing the remaining part and no doubt that will be equally good. I also thought for a moment that I should write something like that but then I really doubt if I can put it all in good enjoyable words unless I am in a really good mood to tell about my life so I leave it for a future day.

There was a blog of another friend who had written about his brainwaves and it had reminded me that I had also thought of writing about some of my brainwaves, like how I thought E=mc^2 , the famous Einstein's equation might actually be equally valid in psychology or may be it comes under philosophy. Yet again I left it for another day. I have wanted to write about what thoughts come to my mind when I see the political world surrounding me, about how good it feels when I am with my professor and friends working till after midnight hours to achieve something, about how motivated I feel with the words of my professor like 'I am not willing to die'. Day before yesterday that is on April 4 I had been to the temple as it was Ugadi (Telugu New Year). There is this place behind the temple from where you can get a wonderful view of the ocean. I always go and sit there for sometime. I had lots of thoughts which I thought could become a blog article and yet that day I couldn't type in my blog. May be from next time I will open my blog as soon as I get some thoughts which I feel like typing in the blog.

Whatever it is the first year of Telugu New Year was good. It is considered that the rest of the year will be similar to the first day of the new year and so everyone tries to make their day as good as possible. Thanks to the almighty I had a good day and I hope the year ahead will be happy to me and also to everyone else in this world :) . Wishing you all a happy new year

23 March “XL IS NOT D SIZE BT D TALENT IN DEM”

I very good friend of mine wrote this article. She doesn't have a habit of blogging and so I thought why not get a good entry to my blog. The content below comes directly from my dear friend. I have just added few comments below.
Luks r very important in 2dayz world may it be in job or relationships even in friendship, alas friendship has lost its essence, if u r beautiful u r accepted in d group, (peer pressure). How beautiful, how slim you are is all that matters to the other person. The beautiful heart, the intelligent brain are all secondary, all that is in is your luks...

Years back Personality meant how you are, completely as person but today personality means how sexy and alluring figure you have. Is your status 36-24-36?? Even that is outdated, its the “SIZE ZERO” dat is in. With people and their changing mentality and attitude even largest clothing brands are hesitant in producing “XL” Sized clothes.

Ask urself, is a beautiful face, slim body is all that is enough for your survival and complete living.

Y doesn`t a pure heart or a talented brain impress you anymore? Y? Y?

Human race has never progressed coz of any beauty queen, it has always advanced on the talent of Madam Curie, courage of Rani Laxmi Bai, support of Sudha Murthy, love of mother Teresa and so on. Did the world not accept them? Doesn`t the world respect them?? Then y not the common gals, just coz they don`t fit in “S” sized tops or just coz their jeans waist size is 36??

World watch out these gals would someday show you that what brain can do, a beautiful face cannot. At every step if you bully them, somewhere their self esteem is lost and all they become is what you call them “A SACK OF FATS”!!...

Accept them, encourage them coz trust me they really make a better daughter, better friend, better girlfriend, better wife and d best mother...
DEDICATED TO ALL MA GORGEOUS DOLLS OOPS SOORRRRYYYYY CUTE TEDDIEZZZZZ!!!!
This article from this beautiful friend of mine, who is a girl (seems pretty obvious from the article itself), is in my opinion a must read for those parents who think daughter is burden. Some poor parents think that if their daughter is not good looking then they might have to give more dowry and all that. Such a mindset might even cause cases of infanticide or may be abandoning of girl child or harassment. It is high time such parents realise that a girl child is as good as a boy and she can also do wonders if she is given the same amount of care and attention. Also my advice to those who feel bad about their looks. Pure mind and heart are more important than external looks.Your deeds and words leave a better impression on this world than just your looks. So don't feel inferior about such inferior things.

P.S. The title of the blog entry is the same as the title of the quoted article and was given by the author herself. May be on a day in future I will introduce to you this friend of mine by writing an entry on her.

21 March Don't want to give any sad name

It has been more than a month since I wrote my blog. It is always the same thing. When I am not spending time on anything I don't recollect anything to write in the blog and when I seriously have lots of thoughts in my head I don't get the chance to type them down. This is just another weird time at which I am typing down my thoughts, with a power cut in my hostel and loads of pending academic as well as project works and of course classes to attend in the morning tomorrow.
Actually there is no special topic on which I am writing today. The last time I wrote was on Avatar the cartoon series. After that there was Incident 2011 at NITK during which there were some incidents which finally developed serious consequences. Then after that came mid-sem exams which were quite okay and then I went home due to a death in the family. My GATE results came and I got 6894 rank (nothing good for what I want).
The whole point of me writing my blog at this moment is to forget this loneliness which I am feeling right now. I probably have got addicted a lot to talking and so sitting in room alone is making me feel lonely even though I have enough work to keep me busy for a complete month. Probably this is just another one of my depression time slot and I just need to give it some time to set everything alright. I don't want to make this any sad entry and give it some sad name and hence the title and that is why I put a stop right here right now.
Have Fun
Take Care.

P.S. Will try to come up with something more interesting soon.

18 Feb Avatar

Well well... It's been a long time again, sometimes I wasn't getting a topic sometimes I was getting the time - been a little busy for nothing last few days. One thing which comes to my mind about recent days- two night-outs ( which I haven't been able to do for a long , really long, time ). The first one went well, and the second one..... I ended up bunking almost all classes (attended one out of I think 5)  the next day. Anyways, I thought since it is a Friday night I can take out sometime to write my blog and here I am. I can talk about how I could have done lot better in GATE 2011 ( My bad, I didn't prepare for it. Plans were made, they just never got implemented. I had to take care of other things too, but I just can't blame it on anything,so My Bad), or may be I can talk about how routine my Valentine's Day was (frankly I didn't expect it to be non-routine anyway), or may be I can even talk about how one or the other girl seems good looking to me nowadays, or may be how I went to the movie Dabangg which was played in our open air theater (we call it SAC-student activity center). I was just reminded by reading one of my friends' blog that I also, just like him, had started a blog to write anything and everything that came to my mind, but somehow I never put up any philosophy related things or any random short stories that keep coming to my mind (trust me they are all crazy). Keep all these things for another day, today I am writing about Avatar ( not that movie with that blue guy and that planet pandora, I am not a good critic for that movie).
Avatar : The Last Airbender is the anime / cartoon series which is soon going to join my "I'v watched it" list. It has three seasons (named as Book 1,2 and 3; water, earth and fire respectively). It is the story of a young boy named Aang. He is the reincarnation of Avatar who keeps balance in the world consisting of  fire, earth, water and air nations. He takes birth in one nation after another and the cycle continues. The previous Avatar, Avatar Roku is from fire nation. The fire lord puts up war with other nations and tries to conquer the world. With the knowledge that the next Avatar (After Roku) will be born in the Air Nation. He kills all the airbenders. However Aang had already left his home by then ( he actually flees away because of other reasons). The world is in danger and needs the Avatar but he is not seen anywhere. Nearly 100 years later Aang is found by Katara and Saka (her brother) who are from the Water Nation. Each of these nations have ability to bend the element they are named after. Aang is very good at air bending. However the Avatar needs to master all the four and defeat the fire lord. The story starts with this backdrop and is about how Aang trains to learn bending of remaining elements. Aang and Alba ( his flying Bison) along with Katara and Saka have a long journey to do. Everything has been put up in a very nice way (especially one which a small child will like). Worth watching; if you think you are old then show it to your kids :). I am done with Book 1: Water (20 episodes) and I liked it. So................ that's it for now, I am off to start Book 2 : Earth.
'See ya later guys'.. wish you all a happy and fun-filled weekend.
Cheers

2 Feb To a Competitor and Friend

Your ways are different from mine.
Your goals are different from mine. Your ambitions are high. You want to reach your targets. I appreciate it a lot. Even I am like that. But it is about the ways which you follow. I somehow can't digest them. Somehow I don't find them correct. Everyone has his own perspective. I have my own. May be you may not like my approach towards different things. May be I am wrong about you. But I can only analyse on what I see and hear, I don't have a third eye which will tell me all that is true.
I have no grudge against you. I consider you also like a friend just like any of the others around us. Don't take it personally if I am not on your side. I consider it this way ... it is just a game and it so happened by luck (good or bad) that we are on the opposite sides. I wouldn't regret if I lose. I have lost many times. It just adds on to my experience with people, their ways, their characters, their morale.
I appreciate your determination. In a way we both are similar. It is our line of good and bad, right and wrong, that differentiates us. I might not have understood you properly. I never had been good at understanding people by seeing their daily routine. I am fine with it even if it is this way. I still count you as a pal. I hope you too are equally spirited. I just play for the fun of it. Even though I lost in the game I always learnt something either from you or from others or from my own experience. It has been a great time. Great thanks for all the things which knowingly or unknowingly, directly or indirectly, you have taught me.
In a way the whole world is like you. Sometimes it is unethical but certain things it can't avoid so it just does it. If I see from a different point of view I can't call you wrong at all. You just practice the same ways which are seen everywhere in the world. That is why I said I have no hard feelings. You just showed me how the outside world is. In a way you helped me along with many other people incidents things and thoughts to understand myself, my way. Thanks again. You follow world, I will follow my way. If it clashes, competes, fights, the worthy shall win.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
People started wondering who is the other person whom I am referring to hence I had to have this modification. I feel that the competition in the world changes the whole ideology of man. As long as it is healthy and causes development beneficial for the mankind, it is all fine. But there are situations where a person X for his benefits ( or may be the benefit of his people) stops thinking about his surroundings, people, nature. It is that X to whom I am referring. I am sure I will face such people as I grow up and somehow (intuitively) I feel I will end up competing with them. So when such a time comes the other person might be following wrong methods (from my perspective) but still I don't want to change myself and my ways to win against him. The above post just hints about what my feelings would be (should be) when I face such a situation.
For the clarification of readers : This post wasn't about any single person. My apologies if anyone felt offended.
Regards
Aditya

2 Jan 2011 Room Sweet Room

After spending the first day of 2011 traveling Here I am lying on my bed in my room with my laptop in my lap. Too many MYs. Sometimes I grow really really possessive about things ;) it can be dangerous. May be I should learn to control myself. Anyways...

I got back to my room today at around twenty past ten. The journey was comfortable except for the expected part where I had to carry my not-so-light luggage from railway station to the bus stop in mangalore and again from the bus stop outside the college gate to my room. The express bus driver stopping the bus near to the boys hostel gate was something to be happy about. PG Hostel Mess food was awesome (Had lunch there today with Vivek and Srinivas). Only reason why I don't opt for that mess during regular working days is that I have to walk a lot to eat there. I know that I will miss my food most of the time if I opt for it either because I am lazy to go all the way (it is really far) to the mess or because I will get late to class if I go to the mess.Anyways Mega Mess is also not bad. Will be eating there from tomorrow.
Room is looking a little messy. Need to sort out things. Classes are starting (may be I should say restarting) tomorrow and there are already a couple of assignments :(  Let me not make this an entry of  to-do-list (i think i already made it somewhat like that :P ). Once again wishing you a Happy New Year 2011.
