31 December 2010 Small Entry

Last day of the year. Last day of this vacation at home. Going back to college. Will be reaching on Sunday.
I travelled a lot this year.Attended a couple of marriages; met so many people; old friends and relations; Made some new ones too.
The year taught me a lot of things. Especially my friends. They became even more special than earlier. They unknowingly taught me a lot of things. They are staying in places distant from me. I seldom hear from them. But whenever I talked to them I heard things which inspired me to do something good and better. Another important one was Naruto (why??? may be someday I will type the reasons in this very blog) It was as if this year was teaching me how to live :D
Sometimes it was tough. I used to have so much of dilemma in mind. But towards the end of the year things started becoming clear. It all looks like a Trap of Time. Every one comes out of such trap, successful, only thing that differs is When people fall into it and When they come out of it. It feels good now on this last day of 2010 when I realise that I have clear thoughts in my mind. I think I now know myself better. Things like what I want to do in my life etc.
There are still a lot of questions unanswered but there is also this self-confidence that I can find the solutions myself in my own way :P
I hope that you too had a wonderful, joyous and successful year
Wishing you a very happy and prosperous New Year ahead

27 December 2010

Last time it was just missing a train, little delay in reaching destination etc. But this time it crossed almost all limits. What fate!!! I had to pay 17456/-(only!!!) for a laptop repair which is still under warranty. I left college on 16th by bus to Hyderabad. Packed up everything cleaned my room. Locked my room . Handed over various things to different people, ate for the last time in 2010 in the Mega Mess and finally boarded that bus, that KSRTC airavat bus.
I had packed my laptop in its bag and had kept it inside a bag full of clothes. Actually it was my mistake. I should have kept the laptop with me. But the laptop bag was torn a little. I was worried that I will damage it even further and I might even end up dropping the laptop so I kept it inside a bag full of clothes. :( I even told the guy who kept the luggage inside... keep it safe there is laptop inside... dont know what happened. He kept it safely in front of my eyes and removed it in front of my eyes. I traveled along with the bag in a local bus in Hyderabad. It was a one hour journey from the bus stand to Chandanagar. Now i am getting a doubt if something happened in that one hour :(. Whatever it is ... my laptop LCD screen broke.
I think someone is putting all curses on me. Whoever it is please tell me the reason. Lets settle things by talk (and not by break :P). Huh... I went to Maha Electronics in Somajiguda showed them my laptop. They said I will have to pay as it is a physical damage :( . Part came to Vijayawada (as I had requested since it is near to my home) and I went and got my laptop screen replaced yesterday.
The only happy thing after all this is that I am looking into my laptop screen (working) now
:D

Lot of things might have happened in wrong way but 2010 was another great year and carries some really awesome memories for me to sit back, recollect and smile. Thanks to all (mighty, universe and relations)

Hope that 2010 was a happy and enjoyable year for all. Wishing you all a very happy, prosperous and cheerful new year 2011.

Yours Lovingly

16 Dec Lots to say

Its been long since I have typed in something into my blog. As I see the last one was on November 19th which said about the completion of my fifth semester at NITK. Most of the grades are already out and after a lot of "kirkiri" with the grades in energy engineering and finally a ten in a maths course I seem to have kept my cgpa safe above 8. There was even a small confusion that I had got an Unsatisfactory grade in a course which I audited. But later I came to know that the U stood for aUdit and not unsatisfactory. Thank God.. great relief. I actually started laughing at a facebook application which had shown a result stating I will have zero flunks in my engineering exams.

There is actually a lot to say. Whenever I encountered something interesting or thought provoking I had thought of putting it up as an article in my blog. However those interesting and thought provoking things kept me from sitting in front of my Laptop and typing one article for my blog. Finally today I made it here. Actually I am packing up to go home. Yes !!! Holiday Time. Sixth Sem started off with those usual course registrations with a difference however due to the large number of electives to chose from. I don't know why it always happens to me. Last semester my top priority course (Hydraulic and Pneumatic Controls) was removed due to less number of students and it happened again this semester for a course( Synthesis of Mechanisms) that I so badly wanted. I finally ended up taking only three courses (HPC, Automobile Engineering and Linear Algebra). Well this sem since I am comparatively free I think I will be able to work more for SOLVE.

Just after the registrations got over I had been to Chennai to attend a wedding reception and when I started back I witnessed FATE :P . My return journey train was at 1130 from Chennai Central and I caught a local train at Velachery metro railway station at around 1015 and the time was sufficient to get down at Park Town, walk slowly to central and board my train. But as I said something different was written in my fate that day. I boarded the local and got a window seat and started thinking of all kinds of different things, work, friends, relations and so on. There was a nice breeze blowing. My tummy was full and my laptop bag acted as a pillow. I DOZED OFF. I got up suddenly to look out at an almost empty platform Chennai Beach station staring back at me. I looked at the time. 1136. I knew I had missed it. Still I prayed to God, started making some deals about coming to temple, but he was not at all interested. I boarded another local to Park, rushed to the Central and as expected it had left long ago. I had booked my ticket for that train just reach early to college next day morning so that I could attend the first class of the semester. Aftermath of this consists of me searching for all possible ways to get back to college in time to go to class. Bought a ticket to Bangalore, Boarded Hubli express and booked one ticket in KSRTC airavat bus to college and expected it to reach college by 0700 (as the time mentioned in the details was 0630). However my FATE EFFECT was not over yet. The bus that I got into had a breakdown some time at around 0400 ( I remember because I was asked to get into another bus, Rajhamsa this time (unfair naa), and I had asked the time) and this second bus dropped me at college at around 1100 :( .Missed the first two classes which were the only two classes on that day which had something to listen. FATE MAXX.. Can't Help. There were a lot of other silly crazy things happening but then I just avoided them as I have eaten your brain enough
Today there ain't any classes and our holidays start from tomorrow. I am leaving for home by a KSRTC airavat bus at 1620. I stopped thinking about that missed train and delayed bus. All I hope is today's bus; I catch it properly in time and it takes me home as fast as possible.

19 November Sem V

It surprises me but is true. Today was the last day for classes of fifth semester in B.Tech. I was a little busy during the last one week with last moment submission of assignments, a test and my mini project (group) in Mechatronics. But today morning as everything was done and I was coming back after presenting our team's mini project (Haptic Arm) I felt it. It is almost over. My fifth semester in Mechanical Engineering is going to get over after the exams which are coming up (starting on Monday).
In these five months of time away from home I learnt few new things and gained some good experience, turned some acquaintances into really good friends, learnt a lot about myself and my interests thanks to a few dilemma which I had just before the beginning of the semester and, something worth remembering, boarded a flight for the first time (to go to my cousin's marriage).
Vivek and me worked like probably never before to run our remote controlled car at Shaastra 2010 ( sad that it didn't work out properly at the end, but yeah we learnt a lot of things) and again at Engineer 2010 ( this time there was a boat too but both failed before the competition itself).
The semester was full of presentations and seminars other than the regular assignments and tests. I gained a few new names (other than Rules Ramanujan from my first year and Audi from my second year) like Saare Auditya (pronounce as Audit Ya) Raman for taking two elective courses extra, and the name Kuchi or Kuchi Baatla also gained usage thanks to the wing in which I stay with my fellow Mechies (my classmates). Actually it is Kuchibhatla, my surname, and they made it Kuchi baatla :D Can't help it :P :P :P Of course the enjoyment with the gult gang was always there...
well i don't know how to conclude this one ...the clock keeps ticking... and this sem has also come to an end... i can say just one thing ... thanks to all and the almighty I had another very enjoyable and memorable semester at NITK.

Wishing all NITKians Best of luck for the coming sem exams

Cheers
Aditya

13 November Dilemma?

I wonder if it happens only with me or with every one in this world. Just today morning at around 4 am chatting with an old friend I was feeling soooo happy... I thought that joyous mood will be enough for me to finish my exams which are coming up and then by the end of the day it is all changed. I am feeling so depressed that too without the knowledge of the reason. Till afternoon I was perfectly fine and ... and... and .. I don't know what happened and I start feeling all negative things. I had a long chat till now with another friend of mine who was trying in all possible ways to cheer me up but then I don't see anything working because I am still in that same mood.Am I feeling home sick. I don't know why I suddenly started feeling so lonely from today evening. Is it wrong to expect a call from at least .. at the very least one friend who hasn't talked to me for a long time... any one friend. Does this world make people so busy that they can't make time once in month to call a friend or a relative.Yeah may be I demand too much.Sorry guys. May be I still don't understand the definition of Life and Living and I thought I have grown up. LoL :P . I think I should go back to kindergarten .. may be after another 18 years I will be able to realise what I am supposed to do now. Wait a sec . what am I talking. Oh my God!!! I started bulbing* again. Something actually has happened to me. Something is seriously wrong with me. I am being told that I am thinking too much. Is it just that much. But how do I stop thinking when something wrong is going on. Leave things to happen the way they are happening, even if wrong... just get your thing out of it.. don't even bother what happens afterward. Is it the way one should live... Okay now I am in such a huge dilemma that not even the words are coming out properly. Sorry guys I think it is better I put a stop here else I may keep blabbering some non sense.
Good Night
Aditya
P.S. Sorry for the trouble of making you read this if you didn't like it
* Bulbing is a word in NITK lingo and means.. confused and doing random things with no results or use

5 November Happy Diwali

It has been a month since I wrote a blog entry. You can say I was a little busy because of a couple of assignments, Engineer (my college's technical festival) and few other things. Many a times during this month I used to get depressed about a lot of things. At times I felt I should write those things as a blog entry but wasn't really sure about it so I just dropped the idea at that time and I didn't come out of the mood I didn't use to get any good topic to write on. Well just in case you grew curious about what those topics were let me tell you they were all lame and lousy topics about my understanding of the people, the system, and myself. After sometime I came out of all that but I keep visiting those dilemma once in a while (most recent was yesterday night :D). By the way, in spite of going through these things (keep my assignments and tests apart) I watched completely the fillers between the stories of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, watched code geass season one and recently watched the episodes from Jiraiya fighting with Pain till the talk between naruto and nagato after their fight in Naruto Shippuden. May be some time in future I will post something on how much I get influenced (excited and inspired) because of this anime.
Keeping all those things apart I wish all of you a very Happy and Safe Deepavali. As I type I recollect the way my teachers used to tell me about this festival when I was in my primary school... " Deepavali ka arth hai deepon ki aavali yaani pankthi jab Sri Ram yudh mein Raavan ka samhar karke Sita maatha aur bhai Laxman ke saath ayodhya laute the thab ayodhyavaasiyo ne is khushi mein deepon se apne gharon ko sajaaya tha......" ["Deepavali means an array of lights and was first celebrated by people in Ayodhya to express their joy on the return of Lord Rama along with wife Sita and Brother Laxman after defeating Raavan in a battle"]. I also remember how I used to come across an essay on Deepavali umpteen number times.. there was one even in Sanskrit... Those days were great. Deepavali not just brings in happiness and joy with all those crackers, new dresses and sweets but also brings back lots of sweet memories..... isn't it ............
For some random reason if you are not able to burn crackers tonight then lie down on the rooftop just like me look at the glow in the sky and go back into your sweet sweet memories
Let this Diwali also be as good as those you have celebrated earlier
Once again wishing you all a happy diwali....

3rd October It's All Part of the Game dude

Guess what. I am writing this entry of my blog in Chennai Central Railway Station. Do you think I am jobless. Actually I am. I have nothing else to do in the coming twenty minutes expecting may be something like talking to Vivek who is sitting next to me (with almost the same fate as mine).
Good if you have observed by now that my day has gone totally against me. If you have not felt it in my words then let me tell you. MY DAY HAS GONE TOTALLY AGAINST ME.
First trouble came with our so called battle tank's steering (in Shaastra 2010, the techfest of IIT-M) not functioning properly (which was actually working perfectly fine yesterday night).Fate didn't leave me at that. I got delayed in coming to the railway station and missed my train (of course Vivek also missed his train). I thought of catching the train in Katpadi. But then I dropped my idea completely when the taxi wala talked something in thousands.
Whatever it is both of us are sitting in the railway station now. After getting almost disqualified in the final round of Fire N ICE, after telling a girl acquaintance that she looks beautiful, after getting delayed because of random things, after missing my train to go to college, after missing a friend soooooooooooo much and feeling sad that I wasn't able to meet her even when I was in near vicinity of her residence for four long days... though i feel that i should leave everything... should go home and lock myself up inside.....random thoughts coming into my mind... I can do just one thing......
Go to the reservation counter.. get a general ticket to mangalore... go back to college by next train... and continue my impractical engineering.
So bye for now I am off to the reservation counter.

Cheers or no cheers
Aditya
