16 Sep Autograph... Truly Sweet Memories

The ISD call, the unexpected message,  the sweet and hilarious conference, the surprising and sweet "you had told that day" call, the "I never forgot" morning call, the sweet e-card with the melodious happy birthday tune, the caring "why you hid the info in fb" call, the lovely "sry..got late..low bal" evening call, the call which was missed three times and finally received with an sms, the innocent "sorry just recollected" call late at night and most importantly "I am going to wish you first you better not put the phone down" the first call. Blessings from parents and wishes from relatives. Love from all the people.

The gults' midnight party with the Mr. Perfect cake. The mech wing's evening party with a variety of chocolates and cookies. The umpteen number of facebook wall posts and messages. And of course the two sessions of birthday bombs (which will remind me of my birthday at every moment during the weekend). The dinner with mech wing and gults at the all famous night canteen accompanied by the splendid innings, sadly the last one, by The Wall (He will be remembered for his contribution to the Indian cricket team forever).

These were the wonderful things that happened today as I turned 20 (no more a teen, joined the adult gang :P). The day left an autograph of sweet memories for me which I will cherish all my life. The year ahead is looking at me with a smile and is ready to unfold its adventures starting tomorrow. Joy or Sorrow, I hope you will stay with me. Thanks everyone for being there. Happy to have you all as a part of my life.

5 Sep With Love and Respect

He always had the charm. That gentle voice. That calm tone. He never got angry on any of us. He would scold sometimes and yet it wouldn't feel like scolding. He used to encourage us to do good things and helped each one of us to develop. He used to find out from the look on one's face that he/she hasn't understood and he would explain it all over. He knew some trick to feed things into our brains, even when we were competing on "who is more dumb?" Everyone loved his class. Everyone enjoyed his class. It actually never felt like class. It was all fun. I had always loved that subject. It was only after I left school that I found I am actually crazy about those numbers. I enjoyed it even more when he told the tales and taught me numbers. There were others as well. They all taught us a lot more than just the books. I am sure all my batch-mates agree to that.

If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have been able to communicate so well. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have been playing with numbers. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have loved experimenting and finding out new things. They caused the curiosity. They caused the interest. They took care of me just like my parents. They were one reason I liked school. They nurtured the spirit of inquiry. They cultivated the quest for knowledge. They are the support thanks to which I am standing today, confidently, ready to take on any challenge that comes in front of me. They laid the foundation. When I look back I realize I have been very lucky to have such good teachers.

2 Sep Few Words

After three years I celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at home yesterday. Luckily had got holidays for Eid and Vinayaka Chavithi on consecutive days. Bunked the friday workshop and here I am at home for these three days. Keeping apart the tough bus journey for 24 hours had a great time. Other than attending the pooja at home this time there were a couple of happy things that happened. Thank you Lord Ganesha and all others for those sweet gifts :).  I hope all of you had a great Ganesh Chaturthi yesterday. May Lord Ganesha give us good thinking and help us in all our endeavors.

Haven't been able to write these days. Got preoccupied with a lot of things to which I have to get back to once I reach college on sunday. Final Year has been really fine till now with placements and festivals and less loaded coursework. I am still waiting to find out who will be my first employer. I learnt quite a few things with the two tests and a group discussion that I failed to clear and looks like Maruti is going to be the first one to take my interview. Lets see what fate has in reserve for me this time.

26 July The Summer School of Life

The time is 10:47pm. I am feeling sleepy and yet I don't want to sleep for some reason. Feels as if I have to finish up with something which is much more important than my night's sleep. May be this is some disease. Whatever ... I have come back to my college and probably started feeling homesick already. It's been a week and yeah I am in final year of my B.Tech. My major project group as well as the group's guide have been an issue for a long time and there are campus recruitment starting. Looks like I am kind of nervous. But then it also feels alright because I am sure I can get a job that will earn me enough to fill my tummy. Actually I dint open my blog to talk about this, so I will save this for another day. I realised that I haven't entered anything in the blog this month and so I thought I could mention a few things about how good my summer vacation was, instead of writing another random movie review.

I don't know if I can really justify the title of this entry with my words but trust me, this summer for me can't be described in a better way. From My Home Medlacheruvu to ITC Bhadrachalam, it was as if every day of my summer was talking to me. Scolding me for the mistakes I did, praising me for the good decisions I took. Reminding me about myself at almost every moment. I met old friends from the past, reinforced the bonds and also made new friends for the future. It was great that both the kinds taught me something or the other. The old ones reminded me of what I was then and the new ones showed me what I am now. And I am pretty sure they all have contributed somehow, if not earlier then definitely during this summer, to what I am going to become (don't ask me what it is, I assume it is a surprise present to me from my future).

I got back home finally in the 1st week of July after finishing up with all my trainings, both me and my parents were happy that I got some time to spend at home (we weren't so satisfied though). I can't compare my earlier summer vacations with this one. Somehow this was totally different. It was as if  Life was giving me lessons personally, like I was its favourite student or something. At the end it was a wonderful summer vacation I had.

4 June Mr. Perfect, Me n My Devil

The name of my blog is also the name of one of my favourite movies " Darling ". The movie Darling, is a lovely family entertainer in which actor Prabhas and actress Kajal Agarwal are children of college friends. Prabhas is in love with Kajal and wants to express his feelings to her during her ten-day stay at the get together of the college friends which is happening after a long-time. The remaining story is about his attempts to impress Kajal. A beautiful romantic story with superb songs, comedy and few twists here n there and with a very good climax (unlike the routine long fight between hero and villian). I feel sad for not being able to watch that movie in theater though I watched it so many times in my laptop :P  and the songs were the only songs on my mobile for a very long time. I dunno if I am any way near to Prabhas (character of Prabhas in the movie), but Nandini (character of Kajal in the movie) sure has all the qualities of my dream girl. :P

Now coming to the title of today's entry . Prabhas and Kajal acted opposite each other again in a recent movie and the name is 'Mr. Perfect'. Audio is really good and I had lot of expectations from the movie. Actually I was waiting for the movie from sometime in March itself. Nice family entertainer which I got to watch with mom n dad in the theater. I wouldn't talk anything about the story or else you might feel it is just the same old thing (which is not exactly right). I would just say it is worth a watch on a nice day with your family and the movie is still in theaters.
Nenu Na Raakshasi (translates into 'Me n My Devil' in English) directed by Puri Jagannath (the 'Pokiri' Director) and acted by Rana Daggubati ('Leader'), Illeana D'Cruz ('Devdas', 'Pokiri' and so on) and others is another movie I watch last month (in theater). I didn't get a good talk about the movie but still I was fixed on watching it because of a couple of things like, the hero is a professional killer, he is in love with the heroine who says she is going to commit suicide, hero's dialogue with the heroine (translated to English) " Listen to me. Marry me. Live with me for say ten years. Even then if you want to die then tell me. I will kill you myself " :P  etc. The movie was actually even better than I had expected. It was again totally different from what we see regularly. Not much of fighting in the climax, twists in the plot (some were expectable some weren't), songs were also fine, comedy might seem a little vulgar though. Bottom line "You may not want to watch it a second time but you wouldn't regret watching once". Oh ya one thing... Strictly not for Children or Families. Go either with your friends or with your girl/boy friend :D . So before you start thinking I have become a movie review writer I will put a stop here and try to come up with something different in my next entry.

31 May Naruto and now Fairy Tail

I had mentioned last year in one of the very first posts in my blog that I watch a lot of anime and I like them even more when they have story. Till a month back I was only following Naruto on a regular basis. Usually the manga is released once in a week unless there is a weekly jump. I read Bleach from beginning till almost the end. May be another 10 or 20 manga would put me up to date. But then I don't get that feel "Bleach Manga might have got released I should go check out". There have been days when I had opened internet during Thursday lunchtime just to see if Naruto got manga had released and now that Naruto is aware that his friends are fighting to save his life he is heading towards the battle field along with Killer Bee. After somewhat dragged yet interesting descriptions of the war (it would be awesome when the episodes of the war come)  the story is getting more and more interesting slowly. I couldn't start One Piece so I don't know how good it is, so I wouldn't comment on it. However there is this other Anime I started watching recently which I find as exciting as Naruto. It started in 2006. Authored by Mashima Hiro there are 236 manga and around 80 episodes have been released.

The Kingdom of Fiore. A neutral country of 17 million people. It is a world of magic. Magic is bought and sold there everyday. It is an integral part of people's lives. And there are those who use magic as their occupation. Those people are referred to as wizards. The wizards belong to various guilds and perform jobs on commission. There are large number of guilds within the country. And in a certain city (Magnolia) there lies a certain guild. A guild from which various legends were once born or rather, will continue to be born long into the future...and its name is : FAIRY TAIL.
Lucy is a celestial wizard and wants to join Fairy Tail. She meets Natsu (and Happy, Natsu's cat which can talk and fly) who comes to her town in search of Igneel. Natsu Dragneel is the Fire Dragon Slayer, the so called Salamander of Fairy Tail. By the end of first episode Lucy joins the guild. The remaining story is all about the incredible guild, Fairy Tail. Right from the background music to perverted comedy to the lovely bond they have with the guild everything is simply superb. I couldn't stop myself from reading manga after I finished all the available episodes. In case of Naruto there were episode which I didn't bother to watch as I had read the story in manga, but in case of Fairy Tail I look forward to watch all the episodes whose story I have already read. Though it is the second one to add to the list somehow I have got attached to it more ( that might be because I have watched too many fillers in Naruto :P )
Natsu, the fun he has on a job, guts to never give up, will to protect the guild and his search for Igneel along with all the comedy that he does for not being able to handle transportation :P . Its just brilliant along with Happy, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Gildarts, Mirajane, Master and the list goes on.. If you like anime I would say it is worth watching; actually you would love it (provided you don't mind some perverted comedy :P ).

26 May After So long

It has been really long since I wrote an entry in the blog. Was busy sometimes and sometime that flow of thought wasn't there. Not that I have something special to say today but there are a lot of things to say. Now where do I start. I will try to mention things in the chronological order, that should be best. Last I wrote was on 7th April. Then there was this SOLVE project review during which me Supreeth ( now the IE Convenor ) and Shravan Gurukar (another Pro Macha) had so much fun. This review was on a simulation lab on mechanics of machines, and we created things in Adobe Flash using ActionScript3.0 Well it was sure a great experience though we were working at the last moment as usual :P . That was on second half of the week as far as I remember. I worked till Sunday afternoon and finally got back to my room from SOLVE lab to study for my end sem exams which were starting the next day. Exams went well and ya the review was a great success (it was more successful not because we did great but because others didn't do much :P ). Then I stayed back after exams for a few days to work both for SOLVE as well as for BAJA. oh ya I am now in BAJA team of my college and Vivek got into team FSAE (sad that I haven't been much useful to the team. Hopefully I will do better in the coming months).Taught a few things about ActionScripting and Flash to few juniors who (hopefully) will help us in creating simulations during summer. 
Then finally I came back home on May 7 afternoon and started on the same day to attend a housewarming function of relatives. Then came back home on Tuesday and on Sunday came here. I am right now near Bhadrachalam (in Andhra Pradesh) doing my Industrial Training at ITC Paper boards and Speciality Papers Division and will be here till June 15.  That's pretty much what happened till now. Then of course there are things that happened which I haven't mentioned, like FSAE car unveiling ( something really sad happened, I heard the car was stopped at customs department at Chennai airport and got delayed for the event don't know the full story yet) and then the union elections and the placement coordinators elections (which were to happen before, but supposedly got postponed because of union elections :P no comments ) and of course the major project groups for which I tried to bring M1 and M2, the two mech classes together for a meeting which ended up being flop because there was some reluctance in informing people. Now our Department has taken some decisions due to which looks like everyone is facing and going to face the music. Well mention of the meeting flop reminds me that there is this thing called SEARCH which I started. no comments please :P.. it will be embarrassing as it also is in a near to flop stage :P . But my 9.38 sgpa for this sem tells me I haven't lost it yet. It tells me I can still achieve if I want to and I try hard and then of course there is this one of my favourite lines from my Prof. "Find a reason to do it" . Coming up is the one Final Year of my B. Tech., my last one and only chance to do some things joyous, useful, fruitful and worth remembering for everyone at NITK and I look forward to make it the most happy and memorable of all years at NITK not just for me but for everyone.
